Eastenders Analysis
Eastenders shows a very good use of camera angles. In particular, over the shoulder shots are used quite often within the conversation scenes. This helps to show the audience true emotion and manages to get the audience involved with the progression of the programme. There is a good use of characterisation within the programme as there is a character that is the protagonist and is shown in a black costume this helps to connote that she is evil. Most of the episode that I watched was based around the Queen Victoria Pub. The mise en scene of the Queen Victoria Pub shows that it is very dark and sad. This is because there was recently a death in the pub. There is a scene where people are cleaning the inside of the pub. This denotes that they are trying to make the place clean but connotes that they are trying to clean away all the bad things that have happened in the pub and trying to make their life cleansed from the negative things. The sound is all digetic but this helps to add to the realism of normal British life, along with the stereotypical cockney characterisation and use of everyday props.
